In 1994 I decided that it was time to reclaim a domain name before it ended up as a porn site. I wanted to register slut.com. Unfortunately six hours before I submitted my application to internic, a porn site applied for it. Back to the drawing board, so eventually I came up with the name trollop.com. I think it is important that women don't let the world decide that the individuality and assertiveness of a woman be interpreted as a negative thing. Trollop is a woman of ill repute. In Victorian times this might have only meant that a woman's skirt was cut too short or she accidentally showed a bit of ankle, or perhaps she was an intellectual-always held in high scrutiny.
The important thing is that women ( and everyone actually) feel comfortable being themselves without worrying about what other people "might" think. Why limit yourself?
