Lilith Lilith was a modern woman. In full control, whatever it took she would keep control it had always been that way. The First One had not expected that and had sent her from the garden. she remembered the sunny green world it had suited her well-much better than him. He had always been a fool, like all the men that followed him. And that Eve-she was simple to deceive with that apple trick, little fool, even the fruit of knowledge doesn't help simpletons much. It was an effective revenge, nobody else could have the garden if she couldn't. Only the First One had forgotten that she was still immortal. He had made them mortal when he made them leave. Lilith would still live forever. He was careless but she was not. He'd also conveniently forgotten to mention to Adam and Eve that they were not the only ones in the world. Adam of course would not succumb to the seduction of Lilith- he liked his women submissive-but there were others that she could tempt. The "original sin" was soon followed by other sins. The First One lorded guilt over them, guilt was His crowning glory. It was with guilt He could make them cower. But not Lilith, He had made her too well. In His own likeness. She could not create though, only destroy. She mocked him by destroying his other playthings. He would not admit her presence. The only women He ever mentioned were the ones He could control and destroy. But they were not the daughters of Lilith, her daughters were strong and could not be controlled. Eventually He grew old and feeble minded. Eventually He stopped altogether. Even the immortal age. Lilith being much younger was free to play. The first years out of the garden were harsh. It was still fresh in her mind. By the time she had settled in Egypt and the city had grown around her, she taunted the First One less. She had liked the Egyptians. They had a fine taste for gold and temples-more precisely temples for her. At some point she had taken to drinking the blood of the sacrifices to the First One, to anger Him. Now she craved blood. So she would have the sacrifices drained. The dawning of a new age of blood. But that is a tale for another day.
